the radiance of the Rhine in Flames when the
river basks in thousands of red Bengal lights
and magnificent hilltop firework displays.
Each event has a unique character of its own
with illuminated fleets of ships, picturesque
‘burning’ fortresses and amazing displays that
light up the night sky and are reflected in the
waters of the Rhine.

Rhine in Flames
The Lille Christmas market is located right in
the centre of the city, with about 90 stalls on
Place Rihour. Nearby, you’ll find the massive
Christmas tree and Ferris wheel at the Grand
Palace. It’s only a ten-minute walk from the
station and is super convenient and compact.
